Deep Creek graduate Darren Perry has spent 17 seasons in the NFL as a player and a coach. He had 35 interceptions as a free safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints. Perry began his eight-year career starting his first 110 games. He played in Super Bowl XXX, and coached in Super Bowl XL. A defensive backs coach since 2002, Perry's worked for the Cincinnati Bengals, Steelers, Oakland Raiders and just completed his first season with the Green Bay Packers.
